Less than 100 days to the opening of the doors of the edition of celebration of the 20 years of Rock in Rio Lisboa, the news do not stop coming! The talented and multi-award-winning american rapper Macklemore will perform on the World Stage on June 22nd joining Jonas Brothers, Ivete Sangalo and Carolina Deslandes. For this day are also confirmed the performances of James, Filipe Karlsson and Kura, on the Galp Stage.

Winner of several GRAMMY awards and Diamond certified singles, Macklemore is a true rap legend, whose success has transcended borders and has already won millions of fans worldwide. With over 13.2 billion streams, Macklemore is recognized as one of the most successful independent artists in history. His musical journey began at age 15, inspired by East Coast rap icons, and has since come a long way, releasing a series of successful Mixtapes under the name "The Unplanned Mixtape", and his debut album, "The Language of My World" came in 2005, five years after the EP "Open Your Eyes". However, it was his partnership with Ryan Lewis that led Macklemore to global stardom, especially with the release of the acclaimed album "The Heist" in 2012, which included the hits "Thrift Shop" and "Can’t Hold Us".

Returning to his solo career in 2017, the artist continued to impress fans with the release of the album "Gemini", which features collaborations with renowned artists such as Kesha, Dan Caplen, Offset and Lil Yachty. More recently, in 2023, Macklemore released the album "Ben", which is part of the single "No Bad Days", which features the daughter of the Seattle rapper, and embarked on a new world tour, which will stop by Rock in Rio Lisboa, bringing even more reasons not to miss the call for this edition of 20 years of the festival!
