Ornatos Violeta 

Celebrating 25 years since the release of their acclaimed second album "O Monstro Precisa de Amigos" in 2024, Ornatos Violeta are headlining the new stage at Rock in Rio Lisbon on 22 June. The band of Manel Cruz, Nuno Prata, Peixe, Ninörm, and now without Elísio Donas, will not only close the night of the third day, but will also sponsor the festival's new stage, as ambassadors of the national talent that will pass through here, for the immense contribution that with two mythical albums in the history of Portuguese music, and many memorable concerts around the country, they have made to national music over more than 20 years. In 2024, the authors of songs such as "Mata-me Outra Vez", "Ouvi Dizer" and "Capitão Romance" continue to see a legion of fans grow that already crosses several generations, breaking the barrier of time and space. With the death of Elísio Donas on 28 May 2023, Ornatos promise to pay tribute to their long-time keyboard player on stage on 22 June.
