The World Stage is full of rock on the first day!

Scorpions, Evanescence, Extreme and Xutos & Pontapés along with the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra take to the World Stage on the 15th to celebrate the rock that has marked generations.

We want the commemorative edition of the two decades of Rock in Rio to remain in everyone's memory. That’s why we have prepared a day to share with friends and family, featuring names bands that have been making a mark on audiences with their iconic hits. Scorpions and Evanescence performed at Rock in Rio’s first editions in Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon, respectively, and returned years later for a second appearance. Xutos & Pontapés have been present at every edition of the festival in Lisbon. This year they are not coming alone and are joined by the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Osvaldo Ferreira for a concert specially designed to celebrate the festival's 20th anniversary. Extreme, the band of Portuguese guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, is making their debut and bring their latest album "Six", for a performance that will undoubtedly go down in our history.

We can foresee that the opening day of Rock in Rio Lisboa 2024 promises to be a real party, with 12 hours of music, performances by timeless artists and an interactive light and fireworks show.

The names confirmed for June 15th complete the line-up on the World Stage for the first weekend. But this is just a taste of what is to come! We are preparing a truly unique and memorable musical experience in the style of Rock in Rio, with a huge diversity of styles and artistic quality marking the four days of the festival.
